Prices and availabilities are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a bird. Price is guaranteed to not go higher for any orders secured with a deposit and a lower price will be honored if the pricing lowers during the waiting period after a deposit is paid.
NOTE: Regrettably I will now be requiring a 25%, non-refundable deposit on any mousebird orders. Without a deposit I will not be able to hold a bird for you. I have started doing this because of past experiences with someone inquiring and saying they want one of the mousebirds I am hand feeding and not following through with the order.
A 25% nonrefundable deposit will reserve any domestic baby until ready to ship. DEPOSITS ON ADULT OR HAND-FEEDING CHICKS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE if the order is cancelled.

If a health concern should arise after arrival, we must be notified within 24 hours of onset of any symptoms and the bird(s) must be seen by an avian veterinarian within this same time frame or our guarantee is void. We do guarantee all domestic birds to be free of pathogenic bacteria, viral disease, and congenital hatch defects. If a bird should die, it must be submitted to an avian veterinarian for necropsy and histology within 24 hours of death. It must be kept refrigerated but not frozen. We are not responsible for airfreight charges nor veterinary charges after birds leave our facility.
Airlines guarantee: All birds are insured through the airlines prior to shipping. All DOA loss claims must be filed with the shipping airline by the recipient of the birds on the same day of arrival. They will not accept late claims! Please do not wait to contact us about the birds. File the claim with the airline first when you are there to pick them up, then contact me! To date we have experienced no losses with shipping via Delta or Continental airlines. On occasion flights may be delayed but the birds will remain insured throughout the flight.
We accept PayPal to sr_tiels@yahoo.com, cashier's checks, money orders or bank wire transfers only; no personal checks are accepted on birds. Call us if you need bank wiring instructions. Please add $15.00 for incoming bank wire fee charged by our bank.
You can use a credit card via PayPal, but we do not accept credit cards directly, sorry. We recommend Express Mail or Priority Mail for faster service. When sending a deposit.

NOTE: All prices on mousebirds include sexing (done by Avian Biotech) The mousebirds are banded, my breeder code is 24R The sexing certificate will be included with each mousebird. On the back of the form will be written notes as to parents, and hatch date.
NOTE: I will not sell a mixed species pairing for breeding or personal ‘what if’ entertainment purposes. If I do sell 2 species to a single buyer they will be of the same sex only, no exceptions. The pairing of 2 different species may result in a hybrid. Many times hybrids are fertile, and do not externally look different enough from the true species and could later be put into a serious breeding program which further muddies the genetic background of the next generation of offspring. If a person is breeding mousebirds they would need to know the background of the mousebirds, and would want pure species to secure the species survival for the generations to come. There are few breeders working with mousebirds, and since they are a short lived (approx 8-12 years in captivity) species, we all need to work together to breed true to each species we are working with. I have also found that each species chick looks different, and I feel that an offspring from a hybrid pair could be doomed to be killed and eaten by the parents because it is different
